Who are we?
The Bulgarian Orthodox Church of St. George the Victorious Orthodox Church in Orlando was founded on October 22, 2009. The church is located at:

The church municipality is part of the Metropolitanate for the USA, Canada and Australia of the BOC - Bulgarian Patriarchate. It is registered as a non-profit organization and is supported by grants, donations and charity.On August 1, 2014, thanks to the efforts and financial support of our compatriots from Central Florida, the property of the church community was purchased. The Church Board of Trustees regularly holds open meetings, which each and every one of you is welcome to attend. Sharing your ideas and experiences is an invaluable contribution to the establishment of the temple. The immediate goal is to collect enough funds for the construction of a temple and a Bulgarian educational center with a school. You will find information related to donations on this site. On October 16, 2016, with the blessing of Metropolitan Joseph Fr. Atanas Megerov was appointed and installed as a parish priest by His Eminence Bishop Daniil (now Metropolitan Daniil of Vidin). Rev. Fr. Atanas Megerov is a native of the Nevrokop Diocese. Ever since the establishment of our church, he has taken care of the church life of our young parish together with Fr. Ljubisa from the Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Petka. Under the spiritual supervision of Fr. Ljubisa and Metropolitan Joseph on January 22, 2011 he was ordained a reader and on June 14, 2014 he completed the two-year seminarian course at the Orthodox Pastoral School in Chicago Diocese, ROCOR. His document for priestly ordination was approved by St. Synod of the BOC in Sofia in September, 2014.He was ordained a deacon on August 6, 2015, and a priest on July 17, 2016 in Chicago during the 41st annual meeting of the Diocese of the USA, Canada, and Australia of the BOC-BP. Since September 2016 d. The Sunday School at the church is also approved under the Native Language program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria. At the moment, about 30 children are taught in the school by 4 teachers.
